Pre-Operative Instructions: Facial Implants
- You should have nothing to eat or drink (including water) for eight (8) hours before surgery unless otherwise instructed by your physician. You may have a very small sip of water with Pepcid AC – 20MG and the pre-operative SinEcch tablet, as well as any medications you have been instructed to take. The Pepcid AC and SinEcch were provided at your pre-operative appointment.
- The morning of your surgery, wash your face with Hibiclens (provided at your pre-operative visit) by gently rubbing for five minutes with a washcloth. Rinse well with warm water. Do not use your regular soap or any other cosmetics after using and rinsing with Hibiclens. Pat dry.
- Absolutely do NOT take aspirin, aspirin-containing products, or ibuprofen products for at least 10 days before surgery. Please refer to the provided list of medications which are to be discontinued prior to your procedure.
- PLEASE ABSTAIN FROM USING ANY TOBACCO PRODUCTS FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH PRIOR TO SURGERY. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN CANCELATION OF YOUR PROCEDURE.
- Please do not wear makeup, lotion, jewelry, nail polish, or contact lenses the day of your procedure.
- A responsible adult should accompany you the day of your procedure and be available to pick you up afterwards
