Brian Rowan, DMD, MD
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Brian Rowan is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a native of Boise, Idaho. He attended Timberline High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He then obtained a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rowan’s specialty training is comprised of a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. This included earning his M.D. He completed a general surgery internship at University Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center in New Orleans. In New Orleans, Dr. Rowan was trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has particular interest in facial trauma/reconstruction, dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery. He is published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Rowan is excited to return to the Treasure Valley and enjoy the numerous outdoor activities Idaho offers. Outside of work, Brian enjoys wakeboarding and wake surfing, hiking, skiing, Gonzaga basketball, and spending time with family.
